         We Honor the Men and Women Who Built Our Local

The heart and soul of every union is created from the energy and love of the men and women who live, work and die in its service.  

It is important that we remember our fallen brothers who helped to build this Local Union.  IBEW 570 would like to pay tribute to our fallen brothers.  In the true spirit of our union heritage, let's pause and reflect on the paths taken by our brothers who were here with us.

The names listed below are brothers who recently passed away.  They will be sadly missed.

 

David C. Garrison - passed away February 14, 2010, Journeyman Wireman, was initiated February 4, 1969.

Harold Weston - passed away November 23, 2009, Journeyman Wireman, was initiated July 15, 1969.

Lewis Johnson  - passed away September 25, 2009, Journeyman Wireman, was initiated October 1, 1947.  Services will be October 2nd at Adair Douglas Funeral Home, 1860 E. A Street, Douglas, AZ.  Services will be at 12:00 noon.

Dennis Cook - passed away July 27, 2009, Journeyman Wireman, was initiated March 4, 1965.

Mingo Jordan - passed away May 27, 2009, Journeyman Wireman, was initiated September 21, 1978.  Services will be held on June 6, 2009 at Carrillo's Mortuary at 240 S. Stone at 11:00 am.  The viewing will be held from 9:30 - 10:30 prior to the services.

Douglas M. Field - passed away May 13, 2009, Journeyman Wireman, was initiated June 4, 1957.

Bruce Wiebenga - passed away February 23, 2009, Journeyman Wireman, was initiated August 6, 1974.

Travis Brooks - passed away January 6, 2009, AUX Operator Arizona Electric Power, was initiated January 30, 2007.

Louie De Cora - passed away December 21, 2008, Meter Reader, BIA, was initiated October 31, 1977.

Steven Chavez - passed away December 13, 2008, Apprentice Wireman, was initiated August 6, 2008.  Services December 19th 2008 5:00 - 9:00 pm Southlawn.  Rosary at 7:00 pm.  Church Service December 20th 2008 at 2:30 pm - St. John's Church.

Don Gruenwald - passed away October 12, 2008, retired Journeyman Wireman, was initiated December 1, 1959.

Richard Ramirez - Passed away October 4, 2008, retired Journeyman Wireman, was initiated April 2, 1957.  Services are October 10, 2008 at St. Joseph Church.  8:30 - 10:00 am viewing & rosary with mass at 10:00 a.m.  Reception to follow at Nights of Columbus.

John T. Turner Sr.- Passed away August 23, 2008, retired Journeyman Wireman, was initiated November 1, 1948.  Information on services to come.

Charles R. Moore - Passed away May 24, 2008, retired Journeyman Wireman, was initiated September 4, 1958.

 James Gipson - Passed away April 12, 2008, retired Journeyman Wireman, was initiated November 4, 1969. Services are April 20th 3:00 at St Marks Church.

 Gene Barfield "Barfly" - Passed away February 10, 2008 ( No services will be held). Brother Barfield, retired Journeyman Wireman, was initated October 10, 1959.

Don Young - Passed away January 26, 2008.  Brother Young, retired Journeyman Wireman, was initiated September 23, 1943.    

Gerald McQueen "Mack"- Passed away January 26, 2008.  Brother McQueen, retired Journeyman Wireman, was initiated Deccember 3, 1963.
