The Local Union 570 IBEW-NECA Apprenticeship and Training Committee is part of a national training program overseen by the National Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee (NJATC). The NJATC, as well as our local Joint Apprenticeship & Training Committee (JATC), is made up of representatives from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA). Our local JATC maintains the highest standards of training for the entire electrical industry. Throughout the program, apprentices are trained in the various areas of electrical work and provided with the skills needed to have a successful career as an electrical worker.
KNOWLEDGE-SKILLS-ATTITUDE
The JATC looks for candidates that have the ability to maintain the positive attitude needed to learn the skills of the trade through on the job training assignments as well as the willingness to complete five years of schooling. By doing this, the candidate will receive the tools and the knowledge to become one of the most highly trained electrical workers in today’s workforce.
